Five years of building things that had to work on Monday.

I’m a web developer based in Willich, near Düsseldorf. I’ve been writing code for five years — static pages first, then React and TypeScript, then full-stack work in Next.js, Node and Postgres. Most of what I know came from shipping things and then having to keep them running.

The work I’ve done most of is the unglamorous end of the web: ordering systems, booking flows, internal CRUD tools, payment integrations. Software where a bug is not a visual regression but a lost order. That shaped how I build — I care more about a checkout that reconciles correctly under a failed webhook than about a clever animation, and I’d rather model data properly once than patch around it later.

I work across the whole thing: layout and type, the front end, the API and database behind it, and the deploy. Not because full-stack is a badge, but because on projects this size the handoffs are where things break.

I also run Ouceal, a digital agency here in Willich, NRW. Client work goes through it — the brief, the design, the scope, the invoicing. This site is the other half of the same person: what the code underneath actually does. The agency platform and the CRM in the work list are Ouceal’s own, built solo with no client brief.
